Canine Good Citizen Test Skills

Larry Sills has many years experience offering the Canine Good Citizen Test. This Test is an AKC certified program that evaluates how a dog reacts to real life situations.  The purpose of the Canine Good Citizen Test is to recognize dogs that, because of their training, can be relied upon to behave well at home, in public places and in the presence of other dogs.

Instructors of Alice's Companion Dog Training School, LLC (a Cincinnati, OH based training organization promoting the sport of dog obedience) will administer the test.

A copy of your dog's Rabies Certificate and County License must be presented at the time of test registration. You will also need to bring a grooming brush for your dog. Click here to view the CGC Test skill requirements.

The test will be offered on the week following the end of each Intermediate Obedience Class. Test Fee is $10.00 per dog.

2011 Schedule:
                         Mon. Mar. 28th - 8:00 PM
                         Wed. May 11th - 8:00 PM
                         Mon. June 6th - 8:00 PM

Larry Sills coached these dogs and their handler in preparation for the Canine Good Citizen Test.  Poor Clare, (black dog) passed the test on her first attempt.  Francis A. Sisi, (tan dog) did not like the evaluator and would not remain in place when the handler walked away.  He passed the test on his second attempt.
